SXS Jamboree

SXS Jamboree Presented by Beard Seats Parker AZ, April 3rd-5th The Beard Seats team was out in force last weekend at The SXS Jamboree in Parker AZ which was put together by the great folks at Side X Side Action Magazine. We were very excited to be the presenting sponsor at this event since it not only gave us the opportunity to showcase our products for the enthusiasts at the event, it also gave us some good seat time in our company UTVs.

Since the wind was howling on Friday, with gusts reaching over 50mph, we put off putting up the EZ Up until Saturday to make sure it didn’t turn into an EZ GONE overnight. This gave us sometime to take out our Teryx, Rhino and RZR and do some quality product testing, at least that was our story and we were sticking with it. Got back to camp just in time to pull the rigs up for a drive in style viewing of Dust to Glory, a little different than sneaking into the movies in the trunk of a VW Rabbit. As the movie ended and the raffle started to swing into high gear we were excited to find out who would win the set of Beard Seats Super TSX High-Backs that we were giving out with a retail valueof $900. The lucky winners name was called and it was Fred Greenwood of San Diego, who was very excited to outfit his Rhino with a brand new pair of Beard Seats.

Got up early on Saturday morning so we could get the booth all set for a busy day of passing out catalogs and answering questions about our products. It was also a good time for us to visit with some of our customers and industry counterparts such as Larry Roessler representing Kawasaki, PJ Jones of PJ’s performance, Gil, Grant and Chad George representing three generations of Funco, Pat Dean from Butch’s Speed Shop, Joe Biro from Vison X, Tim with OMF, Brad from CST and John representing Walker Evans Wheels. Some of our guys hit the trail with over 75 other vehicles that left for a fun ride that toured them over 45 miles of the countryside and would hit three of the scavenger hunt stops including the Beard Seats sponsored stop where trail riders would be greeted with a special event coupon.

As the trail rides for the day ended our Beard Seats booth got busy with a lot of trail riders that were looking for a more comfortable alternative to their stock seats. Needless to say our display seats were seeing a lot more action in the afternoon than they had in the morning.

Following the great food at the BBQ and the fantastic singing demonstration at the Karaoke competition it was time to get the raffle going and give away even more seats than the night before, a set of Super TSX High Backs plus a Super TSX Rear Bench with a retail value of over $1,600 . The lucky winner on Sat night was Joel Hampe of Henderson, NV who was really excited about his new seats which where either going in his Rhino or Ranger.

Sunday morning came and it was time for the last trail ride to take off and hit the Desert Bar out in the Buckskin Mountains by the Colorado River. This was a great event and everybody that we talked to had a great time. If you didn’t get a chance to make out there this time make sure you make it to the next one.
